Saugus River Water Quality Monitoring
The Saugus River Watershed Council conducts monthly water quality sampling during several months each year at approximately 15 sites located throughout the watershed. Samples are tested for bacteria, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, pH, and temperature. Results are used to track improvements, identify problem areas, and inform efforts to improve water quality conditions. The Lynn Water and Sewer Commission generously donates lab services to process bacteria samples.
