Saugus River Scenes
Artists Pauline Bacon, Dorothea James, Grace Ishkanian and Barry Ridon at reception, April 2001.
Local artists and friends of the Saugus River Watershed Council gathered at the Heritage State Park Visitor's Center in Lynn on 22 April 2001 for a Special Reception of the Saugus River Watershed Council's art show: "Saugus River Scenes". The ongoing art show features water color and oil paintings of scenes along the Saugus River. As part of the special reception, artists discussed their works, and SRWC Trustee Kathy Wrynn presented an informative slide show of historic art works around the watershed.Artwork for the show was contributed by the following local artists who are also members of the Greater Lynn Arts and Crafts Society: Pauline Bacon, Bette Cole, Josephine Collazzo, Charles Gargas, Christine Guay, Joanne Holbrook, Grace Ishkanian, Dorothea James, Ernestine Leach, Judith Pumfrey and Barry Ridlon.
Special thanks to the artists for their beautiful works and to the Heritage State Park Visitor's Center in Lynn for providing display space for the art show.
The exhibit will be on display at the Visitor's Center through 30 June 2001. For more information and future locations, please call the Saugus River Watershed Council at (781) 233-5046.
