General Electric of Lynn Funds Public Access Projects

General Electric in Lynn recently funded two projects aimed at increasing public access to coastal resources in the region. First, at the suggestion of the Saugus River Watershed Council, GE has made a $25,000 contribution to the Millenium Fund of the Bike to the Sea. These funds will help design segments of the proposed Bike to the Sea trail in Lynn.

GE has also installed a sign (shown below) indicating the availability of public fishing adjacent to its property along the Saugus River. These projects were negotiated as part the Department of Environmental Protection’s Chapter 91 Amnesty License application.
