CoastSweep 2001
Team SRWC

The Saugus River Watershed Council plans to follow up by hosting a COASTSWEEP 2001 Cleanup Project:

Saturday, 22 September
9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

at Town Line Brook in Revere, Malden and Everett.

Volunteers should meet at the end of Bruno Street in Revere. Directions: From Route 1, take Route 60 West, take first left onto Washington Street, take right onto Bruno Street.

As part of CoastSweep, volunteers will collect marine debris and record the types of trash they collect. This information will be used to help reduce future marine debris problems. This year’s CoastSweep project is being co-sponsored by the Saugus River Watershed Council, State Representative Kathi-Anne Reinstein, General Electric Aircraft Engines, RESCO, and the Massachusetts Environmental Trust.

Gloves, bags, t-shirts, and refreshments will be provided. For more information, please call the Saugus River Watershed Council at (781) 233-5046.

The 2,500-acre Town Line Brook watershed includes land in Revere, Malden, Melrose, and Everett. The Town Line Brook, Trifone Brook, Linden Brook and portions of the Rumney Marsh including the Sea Plane Basin are all part of the Town Line Brook watershed, which is located within the southern portions of the Saugus River watershed.
