Sean
LeBlanc Memorial Scholarship
Applications
due 22 April 2011
The
Sean LeBlanc Memorial Scholarship is now accepting applications
for its 2011 environmental leadership scholarship. The
scholarship fund was established in memory of Saugus resident
Sean LeBlanc who made many lasting contributions to his
community. As a volunteer for the Saugus River Watershed
Council, Sean participated in countless river cleanup
projects, and introduced people to the natural beauty
of the Saugus River as a volunteer canoe guide.
For his Eagle Scout project, Sean and his friends from
Boy Scout Troop 61 built benches and cleaned up debris
along Prankers Pond and the Saugus River. One $500 scholarship
will be awarded during 2011.
